The LeapPad Platinum is LeapFrogs next generation wi-fi-enabled LeapPad tablet for kids, offering a seven-inch, high-resolution, multi-touch capacitive screen with stylus and a faster processor (1.0GHz compared to the LeapPad 3s 1,000MHz). Right out of the box you get 8GB of memory to hold up to 40,000 photos or more than 100 game apps, two cameras and video recorders, and 10 apps: a Music Player with 10 songs, Pet Pad Party, Pet Chat, Photo Fun Ultra, five utility apps, and your choice of one app download. More content can be downloaded or purchased from LeapFrogs learning library of more than 1,000 digital apps and game cartridges.\r
If parents choose to enable the wi-fi, kids can browse the web through LeapFrogs kid-safe LeapSearch, which features age-appropriate content handpicked by LeapFrog learning experts. In certain apps such as Pet Pad Party and Pet Chat, kids can use the wifi to play with a friend, provided that the friend also has a wi-fi-enabled LeapPad and is on the same local wi-fi network.\r
Parental settings also make it easy for parents to manage child profiles, control peer-to-peer play settings, purchase digital content directly from the device, control a childs access to the App Center, control the amount of time a child is allowed to spend on the device, and manage settings, such as language, time, date, and more.\r
The LeapPad Platinum also comes with an Imagicard demo game and six bonus cards to scan into the game to unlock animations and photo fun.\r
This durable tablet also features a shatter-safe screen and wrap-around bumper. Its available in purple or green.\r
