A good example is the leadership academy we developed for a large public agency in Sacramento. Over the course of 10 months and 14 classes, participants master, among other things, the art of effective interpersonal communication, keys to building trust and motivating people, how to instill accountability and follow-through in hybrid teams, techniques for stakeholder engagement, and effective approaches to long-range planning. In each class, leaders get a chance to apply new skills using real-world case studies and exercises.
