Description
I found walking through the fields
Who she was unknown to me
But her words made me yield
It was not until I lost my spot one day
And searched those words back out
Did I find that she was famous
And for years talked about
For me she had started as
an anonymous contributor
Of the fight for self respect
That in me stirred
How strange to not have noticed
Her face and name were the same
and the private world I played in
Had long since been her way
Empowered and enlightened
I read every one
Thought about what could have made her write them
And the things she must have done
It is not out of reach
What she knew we all could be
But her words weren't for the world at first
They seemed only meant for me
Thank you for your courage
To share what few ever do
Although we never met
I knew a part of you
