I prayed on me
I prayed on you
knowing full well
what it would do
if you hadn't
already been His
it wouldn't have
worked like this
He wants me
close to Him
that means
obedience

it has been through tears
and His strength
to ask for the opposite
of what is in me
for I know what it does
and how it destroys
the ones you love
and everything in your life
I don't want you and yours
to suffer the same too
that's why I prayed for me and you
