Lamassu software running on a SatoshiPoint Robocoin ATM

www.SatoshiPoint.co.uk is pleased to announce we have successfully ported Lamassu software to work with Robocoin ATM machines.

Our 5 machines will now allow for the near instant purchase of bitcoin to any wallet in the world (not just robocoinwallet) and we are working hard to get the sell functionality and a suitable AML solution added in the coming weeks.

We were previously running software from Robocoin until 3 weeks ago when our machines were remotely disabled with only a few hours notice.
Jordan Kelly CEO of Robocoin refused to turn our 4 robocoin machines back on unless we agreed to force all our customers to use their centralised proprietary web wallet.
We refused and instead worked with Neal Conner from Lamassu to get their Rakia software ported across so it would work on robocoin hardware.

Robocoin have been awful from day one, but now by using Lammasu's open source software (Rakia) we will no longer have to rely on them for anything or pay them 1% transaction fees. Longer term we hope to be able to pass this saving on to the end user.

We have been chatting with other Robocoin owners from around the world who are equally disgruntled with robocoins dishonesty and poor service.
Many of them are privately making plans to move away from robocoins software and now they have the Rakia software as a viable option.

The new software uses the webcam above the touchscreen to scan bitcoin QR codes instead of the QR code reader below.
Customers should scan their bitcoin address at a distance of approx 10cm away while holding the address steady until read by the machine.
