쿠베 사람들은 저들의 모어로 신약과 시편을 가지게 되었다. 이용섭 김현숙 선교사는 1988년 10월 이 부족에 입양되어 오랜 세월 그들의 문화와 언어를 배우고 알파벧을 만들고 그들의 언어로 신약과 시편을 번역하여 전해 주었다. 그들은 이제 마을 마을을 방문하지 못하는 죄책감을 느끼지 않는다. 이유는 남자나 여자나 젊은이나 연로한자나 시간이 있으면 그 하나님의 말씀을 열어 읽기 때문이다.
