Kevin Durant Becomes No. 7 With Nets

The Brooklyn Nets new star
will have a new number. Durant will switch to No. 7
from No. 35, which he wore
for his first 12 NBA seasons. Durant shared a picture of his new jersey on Instagram. Durant agreed to a four-year contract worth
up to $164 million with the Nets last week. Durant won two NBA titles
and two NBA Finals MVPs
in three seasons with
Golden State. The Warriors announced
last week that they will
retire Durant's No. 35 jersey. Durant ruptured his right Achilles tendon
in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Durant will likely miss the entire 2019-2020
NBA season recovering from the injury.
