Katie Doty - Grown Up

'Please! You said you would
leave me alone! ' She cried as
She tugged on her restraints.
Her red shirt was stained
with an even redder liquid.
A spot of her forehead was missing
As her blonde hair was dyed
At the roots. It was oozing down.
A big and bad man
Stood over her, almost as if he was
Bearing his canines to her.
He chuckled maniacally,
'You should have stayed
On the path, one mustn't
Wander through the woods-
You know that better than most.'
He paced back and forth on
The wood flooring of the cabin.
His boots whimpered at the floor.
The teenage girl winced at the
Air blowing on her gash.
She tried to pull apart her hands again,
Which were fastened behind her back.
She sat on her feet,
And cocked her head upwards.
'Why can't you just
Let me go? ' She begged as she
Sobbed some more.
'Because before you had a
Savior that secured you,
And now you have no one,
So my fantasy has come true.'
She stared horrified, at the
Boy she once knew.
But no more a coward,
He stood as a monster.
'What are those for? ' She pleaded
At the multitude of knives
In his hands. He smiled as she cringed.
'All the better to... Eat you with...'
