Katherine Robbins - The Watcher
1 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
All alone, on the steps of my prison.
All alone, no one to talk to.
Sitting, watching the children play.
Waiting, hoping, wishing someone would come to save me.
Days, weeks, what seemed like years,
Still no one has come.
My nerves seem to be growing weaker.
Can I hold on much longer?
Wait, what is this I see in the sky?
A bright, beautful, unknown flying thing in the sky:
I wish I could fly too.
To be controlled by the children I sit and watch.
As the watcher and a house full of strangers
I should not be alone, but I just watch the children.
I see in the boy's heart I watch, he could see himself floating.
I realize that you can't always get what you want.
Then came the perfect day for flying.
The center cannot hold me.
I'm flying; it's one real thing, not magic.
An angle came and I was set free from my prison.
