Karley Kay - Whatever

Description
‘It isn’t going to work out’
You want to know what I think?
This is your coward’s way out.
You asked me to homecoming
And then avoided me at the dance
When you dropped me off
You said, ‘see you later’
That’s all we talked the whole weekend
You avoided me for two days
Finally I asked what was going on
And then you tell me we should end us.
We were together for two weeks
And now you’re saying things are awkward
But you won’t even try to make it work
But whatever. I’m done playing this game.
They were right about you
I should have listened
You may be cute and funny
But your nothing like I thought.
Tell myself I won’t feel hurt or anger
Towards you for ending us
But part of me is angry that you never told me
And that you just avoided me.
Not angry that we ended
Your right, it wouldn’t have worked
I see that now, but because
You never even told me.
You just avoided me, avoiding talking about it
You catch my eye and then look away
No more hugs, no more talking
Almost like you couldn’t stand to be around me.
That’s what hurts
The fact that you just avoided me
Without saying a word
But whatever, you made the choice.
