K8MaRo - Third stanza love song

This is our new song inspired by Rijeka, our home town, city that has more rainy days than London. I wrote the music and text, and played guitars, my wife played keyboards, and a young and talented singer Tanja Stajduhar sang. It was recorded it in the home environment. I think that we did the best we could with equipment we own.

An ordinary love song,
the story of a sailor and a waitress,
you know that too often used cliche,
he goes off to sea,
she waits for him,
and it sounded promising and romantic
until then in the third stanza something went wrong!

An old rusty ship took him home
back to the town
that has more rain
than London

On the dark sea he dreamed of her
she lived in the town
that has more wind
than Boston

And then the radio contact with the ship was lost
the official navy report said
it disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle,
Mystery

She cried and cried, until another sailor
came in her life
in the town that has
more rain
than London

And so the story ends
She found new love,
he found something else,
a lost civilization,
or alien stuff on the bottom of the Ocean
but, who knows...
Perhaps he will reappear someday?
