Julie Dant - Bright Tree

In a darkening woods
a tree stands...separate...
as if to say 'I shall not blend.'

As night approaches
it does not fade.
Stands as brightly as in the day.

When midnight falls,
the tree, it glows.
'See? ' it says, 'I am brighter than the night! '

'I can shine my glow into the farthest
reaches of this dark forest....this life.'
