When frost lays its icy hand
Upon the greeness of the land
Pools transformed over night
Countryside, a crystal white

When winter chill doth blow his breath
Holding the world in icy grip
Silent stillness all around
Snow falling softly on the ground.

Laughing children in the snow
Youthful faces all aglow
World transformed, magic sight,
In their beds, sleep well tonight
