Jaylen Brown Postgame Interview | Celtics vs Hornets

Jaylen Brown was interviewed postgame after the Celtics lost in a blowout to the Charlotte Hornets, 125-104. Brown was quick to praise the Hornets, saying “To be honest I give a lot of credits to the Hornets… they set a record with assists… I’m not sure how many times that’s happened in the last decade… we definitely didn’t match their energy today and we lost.” On losing in a blowout, Brown simply said “I think they just played really well… we weren’t as prepared to play as they were… there’s nights like that… for the most part we’ve been playing some good basketball… and once you get it going you know how hard it is to stop.”
Boston dropped a game against a potential playoff team in the Hornets, and slipped closer to being a play-in team. When asked if the Celtics wanted to avoid the play-in, Brown responded “Absolutely, we definitely want to try to make a push to get higher in the standings… looking at the standings now you don’t know where anyone’s going to end up… we’re just trying to improve in areas that we need to improve… we just gotta be the best version of ourselves.” Boston has the second easiest remaining schedule in the league, and every win matters. On taking a tough loss, Brown said “I think we just move on to the next game… the hornets played extremely well… I think that we put this one behind us and move forward… I think that in the last few weeks we’ve played extremely well… we’ll see them in a couple days so we’ll see.”
