Jason Momoa, is an American actor, director, producer and model famously known for his role as Khal Drogo in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones. The actor also portrays Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe.

The actor was born as Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 1st, 1979. He is of mixed ethnicity. He is the only child of his parents, father Joseph Momoa who is a great painter, and his mother Coni Momoa, a photographer. The actor was raised by his mother in Norwalk, Iowa.
Jason attended his school in Hawaii and learned acting in theatre there. He studied marine biology as his further studies and graduated from Colorado State University. He is also skilled in pastel painting which he learned in his early years.
Moving on to Jason’s career path, he started out as a model. And was encouraged by the famous designer Takeo Kobayashi. But, since his financial status was not good yet, he also started working part-time in a surf-shop. The same year, Jason made his acting debut with the television series Baywatch Hawaii where he appeared in 39 episodes.
Likewise, he got featured in multiple TV series and films like Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding, Stargate Atlantis, The Game and The North Shore.
In the year 2004, Jason made his movie debut as Navarro in the movie, Johnson Family Vacation. Later, he played the lead role of Conan in the movie Conan the Barbarian for which he received a CinemaCon award.
Jason’s carrer-defining role came in the form of Khal Drogo. In the year 2011, he portrayed Khal Drogo in the famous HBO Fantasy series, Game of Thrones. He was featured for only 10 episodes, of the series, but, he left a lasting impression. Jason gained a huge number of fans & followers soon after.
Later on in 2014, the talented actor dived into writing, directing, and producing as well. With the movie Road to Paloma. A comedy-drama film.
In the movie, he played the role of Robert Wolf along with co-actors Sarah Shahi, Lisa Bonet, Michael Raymond, and Wes Studi. The same year, he was featured in the horror movie Debug which was directed by the famous David Hewlett.
In 2016, he got featured in the Netflix drama series Frontier. He played the role of Declan Harp. And his excellent performance resulted in a Canadian Screen Award Nomination.
The same year, DC extended universe signed him for the role of Aquaman in the Animated superhero movie Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.
After a year, Jason appeared again as Aquaman in the DC’s movie Justice League.
On November 26, 2018, he finally got the chance to portray the role of Aquaman as a lead. In the movie Aqauman.
