Jampi Gugat

Jampi Gugat is the work that worked together 100 female dancers; young and adult dancers. The dance voiced an issue related to the proliferation of labeled beverage products that dominate the Indonesian market and make the heritage that has been consumed for hundreds of years are no longer interesting in the community. It is herbs, a local herbal drink that forms a distinctive taste of our nation as a popular beverage which gradually abandoned. In fact, from the drink, stored secret ingredient that is very beneficial for our health.
This dance was performed at Tugu Yogyakarta spontaneously which attracted public attention. One hundred dancers wearing Kebaya and Jarik with equipment as well as herbs sellers danced simultaneously and accompanied by the song "Suwe Ora Jamu". I hope that this dance does not give any sollution to the existing problems, but at least this dance is able to build awareness within the community.
