The pen, a sword-
With which I fight the enemies
I make along my way.
With which I defend the views
I hold about God and country.
The pen, a rose-
With which I hope to win
The heart of my life's love.
The pen, a rope-
With which I pull my comrades up
When otherwise they would fall.
The pen, a gift-
With which I hope to bless
My fellow man.
