I sing, loving
Life, and all that is in it-
Including you.
I sing in the joy
Of a new friend
And possible companion.

I scream, hating
The world, and life,
And everything.
I scream in the hatred
And contempt of
Who I am.

I laugh, at a joke
Of no importance
(Though because you told it,
It was funny.)
I grin madly,
Thinking of how I
Adore you.

I rip my hair out,
Gouge my eyes,
Slash my flesh-
Desire, burning,
Leaves scars,
And I rot.

Life, death;
Love, hate;
Light, dark,
Infinite cold
And blackness.
