James Atkins - Chronocide
3 Views • Jun 12, 2014
Description
I die a little more.
I'm deader now today,
than I've ever been before.
Admitting the inevitability,
of succumbing to time's flow.
Necessitates that you decide,
the style with which you'll go.
When confronted with mortality,
One does what one is able.
To ditch terrestrial TV,
and get hooked up to cable.
I'm grateful for whatever hours,
remain in life for me.
I just wish that I had TiVo,
so I could live commercial free.
Thank-you Misters Baird and Bell,
For the TV and the phone.
In the time from now until I'm dead,
I'll never be alone.
As the seconds fall away,
To fade into the night,
I will still be smiling,
while The Price is Right.
