IQ-BABY 1 Introduction

According to scientists, statisticians and researchers, the intelligence of a normal baby is determined by genetic factors (inherited genes from mother and father) and by environmental factors. There have been numerous studies conducted to investigate the role of the environment on a child’s intellectual development and all of them have concluded that a child’s IQ can be negatively or positively affected by her environment. In fact, they suggest that a stimulating environment will impact positively on her intellectual development.

Many different experimental studies have been done with success looking during several years at the biological psychological, and development of children, and compared the results of an experimental group of moms (control group) with adequate training (prenatal enrich course in pre-birth stimulation, parenting skills, nutrition and early stimulation) against those who were not stimulated during the pre-birth period for their untrained moms, and they have found differences as big as 15 points in the IQs between these groups.
