Mike: Hi Im Mike Daly of River - Adotas and we are talking today with Michael Batalha ,CEO of Emercury a web based email marketing platform. Thanks for joining us today.

Michael: Thanks for having me.

Mike: How did you get started with Emercury?

Michael: Emercury really focuses on the affiliate market space. That's really where our competitors dont want focusing at all so that's really how we got our entry way into the market. Emercury responds of my original company called Prestige Technologies which is a web development company.

We were looking for a email marketing company that cater to the affiliate market space and advance email marketers and we couldn't really find anything at the time so as a development company we just created our own system and offer it out to customer to see if there's any market for it and we've just been listening to our market which is the affiliate marketers and redefining that system year and year out based on their needs.

I've always just been an entrepreneur at heart, so I started my first company was 16 sold it at 18. Started another company when I was 22 and sold it at 26. And then started a company, started Prestige and then Emercury.


Mike: How is email marketing evolved for Emercury?

Michael: So email has been around for quite sometime and its gonna be around for a long time after everybody in today's age has an email account. The average person has about three accounts, one for work, one for email offers and one for personal. And what we've done differently what I think is gonna be something that's gonna be done differently in the email arena is really focusing on behavior targeting. The ultimate vision of Emercury is to monetize every single email globally and how we plan on doing that is with our new tool called Admailr, which inserts targeted advertisements based on behavior to each recipients that receives the email. So if we send out a thousand emails to one newsletter, every single recipient will receive a different advertisement within that newsletter based on target behavior.

What the plan ultimately is to have the publisher get monitization at the newsletter and have another avenue for the affiliate marketer to be able to display their offers creating the first email display ad network.
