In 1995, Grant was arrested with a Hollywood prostitute but his career weathered the scandal and he starred in subsequent hits, including Bridget Jones's Diary. In 2011, Grant published an article that helped expose the phone-hacking practices by Rupert Murdoch's News of the World newspaper.
