How to Spot a Poor Writer?
1 Views • Jan 27, 2021
Description
- They do not write regularly (or do not write at all): they talk about writing, but they never start, or they do it only from figs to figs. Thus it is very difficult to improve in any artistic discipline.
- They read little or nothing: In this way, they slow down their learning process and close themselves to new ideas.
- They write thinking about what others will like or what they think will be more marketable: there is no better recipe for failure. Remember that when J.K. Rowling wrote her first Harry Potter book, magic books were out of fashion.
- They criticize other writers and wish them to fail: Bad writers are surrounded by bad vibes. Envy is one of the worst woodworms that can eat you inside.
- They do not seek to improve: They do not accept criticism:: bad writers think they already know everything they need.
- They don't finish what they start: bad writers get discouraged before they get to the end. They don't persevere, they don't take advantage of the lessons learned when we finish things, and they feel permanently dissatisfied.
- They blame others (or the situation) for what they don't achieve...
