How to Optimize your Computer - Remove Temporary Files

Today, I am gonna show you how to optimize your PC to make it perform faster & better.
There are various things which you can do, among which most important one is getting rid of Junk files on your system.
Junk files built up on your computer over time, due to installation of programs or when you run any application or do any stuff on your PC.
So, let’s begin our tutorial.
You need to clear files from the Temp folder present in the root directory i.e. where OS is installed.
First, go through these folders in root directory to reach the Temp folder. This location can be different depending on the operating system.

Location of “User” Temp Folder in Different Windows OS Versions:

Win 8 & Win 7 – C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp
Win XP & Previous Versions – C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Temp

Location of “Windows” Temp Folder:

C:\Windows\Temp

Here, you can find a bulk of junk files which piles up & makes your PC slower.
Select all the files & erase them. Some of the files which are currently in use will not get deleted, ignore such files.
Then, go to the Recycle Bin & delete the contents from it to make it entirely empty.
That’s it.
If you follow these steps quite often, say every other day, you will get rid of the unwanted junk files that resides on your PC.
