How to Make Salted Egg Tofu

Description

Ingredients:
3–4 pieces of firm tofu (cut into cubes)
2 salted egg yolks (steamed and mashed)
2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
2 red chilies or bird’s eye chilies (optional, sliced)
50 g butter or margarine
1–2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk (optional, for creaminess)
A pinch of sugar
A pinch of salt (adjust, since salted egg is already salty)
Cooking oil (for frying tofu)

Instructions:

1. Cut the tofu into medium-sized cubes. Fry until golden brown, then set aside.
2. Heat a pan, melt the butter, and sauté garlic until fragrant.
3. Add the mashed salted egg yolks. Stir until foamy and fragrant.
4. Add sliced chilies and a little sugar. Mix well.
5. Pour in the fried tofu, stir gently until evenly coated with the salted egg sauce.
6. Adjust taste if needed. (If you like it creamier, add a spoon of condensed milk.)
7. Remove from heat and serve hot.
