Hi I'm Dean Piazza from HomeGymEquipment.com.au and Today I'm going to show you how to lubricate your treadmill mat. A lot of people don't lubricate their mat and that's going to shorten the life of your treadmill. So, it is really important to do this once a month. If you are using it two or three times a week, you can lubricate it once a month. If you are using it less than that, you can lubricate every couple of months . The easiest way to do this is you just run your finger under the mat to check if its dry . I recommend to buy lubrication spray 3 in one Silicone Spray Lubricant and its about $5. You can buy it at treadmill stores with different brand you may pay up to $20 for it. I recommend Silicone Spray Lubricant WD40 it is really a good one. So what do we need to do? When we lubricate the mat, just simply get to the edge of the mat. You make sure you use the long extension to put under the mat. From there to all the way there and do it again on the right side. and pick the mat on the left side and down. And what this long tube does is it will allow you to spray right in the middle of the mat. Ones you have done that, get on your treadmill and you are going to walk lubricant into the mat. Just walk to slowly. Walking in the middle of the mat and walk on the side of the mat -- just making sure the lubricant is spreading evenly to through the deck We have to do this for a couple of minutes and that will really prolong the life of your treadmill.
