How to form an LLC in Rhode Island under the State statute 7-16-6 and is for the use of any resident applying for a Limited Liability Company through an Articles of Organization.

Steps
1 Choose Your LLC Name. - Choose the name that best fits the industry you will be entering as well as the brand you will be building. If you think that your name may be taken, search the database.
Search Rhode Island LLC Names
2 Articles of Organization. - You will need to download this form and either fill it out on your computer or print it out and fill it in with black ink.
Attach filing fee of $150 payable to the 'Secretary of State'.
Send filing fee and Articles of Organization to the following address: Office of the Secretary of State, Corporations Division, 148 W. River Street Providence, Rhode Island 02904-2615.
3 Wait for Documents. - You will have to wait an estimated 5 to 10 business days for the LLC to fulfill processing. Check the mail where the registered office address is located.
4 Apply for EIN Number. - You will have to apply for an EIN number immediately if you decide to do the following:
Open business/company bank account.
Have more than 1 member (owner).

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Highly recommended to have an LLC Operating Agreement
