If you want to disappear from facebook for a while, removing a profile from facebook is the best thing to do.
When you deactivate your facebook account, your Timeline and all information associated with it disappears from Facebook immediately.
Before you deactivate your account, make sure you log out of Facebook from any other device or computer. An accidental login will re-activate your account.
Steps : You will want to click on account settings in the top right hand corner and then click on security and then click on deactivate your account.
After this your facebook account should be deactivated. You can follow the next steps to delete a facebook account forever.
