How to cite reference books in APA format reference list

Hello and welcome to the video reference series presented by termpapergurus.com. In this lecture, we will discuss how to cite an article presented in a reference book in the format of APA.
A reference book is different from a normal course text book in the sense that it does not complete information. As the name suggests, it is aimed for “reference “ only. Popular examples of reference books are; encyclopedia (such as Encarta and Britannica), almanacs, dictionaries and handbooks.
The citation starts with the last name of the author first, and then followed by the initial of the first name and then the initial of the middle name. The year of the publication is enclosed in brackets. This is followed by the name of the title of the article and the book title. Please remember to use “in” before the name of the reference book and that the title is always italicized.
After you have the title down you enter the information of the reference book used. This enclosed in brackets and includes the volume number and the page number your article was in. As usual, you conclude the reference with the name of the city and the name of the publisher.
