A frequently asked question that we get is “How long will this project take”?
If a contractor is familiar enough with the work to be performed he will be able to give you a very close estimate of time. But In every project there are “unknowns” that can affect the project’s completion time.
One way to eliminate the number of “Unknowns” is to put together a “Project Schedule”
A Project Schedule will identify milestones and deadlines, when items need to be ordered and who needs to be on the project working and when. This will also let you know how long you will be impacted.
Questions can be answered like, do I need to close off part of my home, "Do I need to move out for a period of time, can I function without my kitchen or bathroom for a week? These are important items to consider when planning a project because they can have other financial impacts in addition to the project cost.
