How Big Is God

In a lovely home in Lagos State, Nigeria, a curious eight-year-old boy named Uche lived with his father, Mr. Ikechi. Uche loved learning about God and often asked deep questions. One day, while sitting under a mango tree, he looked at his father and asked, “Daddy, how big is God?”
Mr. Ikechi thought carefully about how to explain such a great truth to his young son. At that moment, a plane flew across the sky. Pointing upward, he asked Uche if he could see it. Uche looked up and replied that the plane appeared very small and almost invisible.
Instead of answering immediately, Mr. Ikechi took Uche to the airport. There, they stood near a huge passenger plane on the ground. Seeing the massive aircraft up close, Uche was amazed and exclaimed that planes were very big.
His father smiled and explained that the same plane, which looked tiny from far away, was actually enormous when viewed closely. Then he compared it to God. When people are far from God because of disobedience, neglecting prayer, or ignoring His Word, God may seem distant and powerless in their lives. But when they draw near to Him through prayer, worship, obedience, and a personal relationship, they discover His greatness and power.
Mr. Ikechi reminded Uche of the Bible’s teaching: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” God does not become bigger or smaller; He remains the same Almighty God. The difference is our closeness to Him.
From that day forward, Uche remembered the lesson of the airplane and chose to grow closer to God every day.
