While back in the Enchanted Forest Killian met the mermaid Ariel who accused him of kidnapping her beloved Prince Eric. Turns out it was the pirate Blackbeard who had also claimed the Jolly Roger. Blackbeard offered Killian the choice of the location of Prince Eric in exchange for the Jolly Roger.
