Η εξέλιξη της δυτικής ιατρικής από την εποχή του Ιπποκράτη μέχρι τις μέρες μας είναι τεράστια. Παρόλα αυτά πολλά βασικά στοιχεία παραμένουν αναλλοίωτα και πάνω απ' όλα ο Όρκος του Ιπποκράτη γιατί αποτελεί την ειδοποιό διαφορά μεταξύ της έννοιας Επιστήμη και αυτής του Λειτουργήματος.
The evolution of the western medicine from the era of Hippocrates to now-days is enormous. Yet many fundamental elements remain the same and above all the Hippocratic Oath because it is the substantial element that differences the meaning of the science from the one of the vocation.
