Heretic: Eric Laithwaite

This film portrait of a towering figure in the field of propulsion was made in 1993. For the world of science, however, his pioneering research entered forbidden territory - hence the title "Heretic".

Professor Laithwaite died two years after this film was made, while working on a commission to design a space-rocket launch system based on his original invention of the Linear Motor.
