Hellfire Missiles Don't Lock On

Description
All 3 times I successfully locked on to my targets and attempted to arc the missiles in a random direction. Each time, all of the rockets continued straight and i can't figure out why. This happens nearly every time I use the hellfires no matter which mech I'm using, but every once in a while they do home in. Am I doing something wrong here?
