Heidi Fiore - Time

Description
When the world seemed so new,
And all there was, was me and you,
You took me by the hand,
And in a second I knew,
That I was here to give my love to you
But the world was still new
For you more than me
I had been living,
You didn‘t know of the things that I‘ve seen,
But you were still young
And had so much to learn
I tried to teach you,
But in the end I got burned
And I’ll turn back the clocks,
I’ll erase the time.
I’ll go back to the time
When you were still mine
Turn back the clocks
Even further than that
Turn them to before
My heart even cracked
We tried, and for a while, things were good,
But no one thought that we should
Be together, as we were, so close and so sure.
We were from two different worlds,
Things were so obscure.
You let what they said, effect how you feel,
While I was holding onto something not real.
I sensed something wrong, but I didn’t know why
I thought you loved me, but I guess that’s a lie
Now I see you, and it hurts
Longing, waiting, damage occurs
You took my heart
And you won’t give it back.
Even though there still is a crack.
Will someone turn back the clocks,
I need to erase time.
Go back to the time
When you were still mine
Turn back the clocks
Even further than that
Turn them to before
My heart had cracked
Why must this hurt so?
Why can’t I let it go?
Many before me, and many since,
Have loved and forgotten,
But there is something I miss
But in me builds the grief and love
But I guess that’s what you’d forgotten of
