Through nightmares and dreams

I’ll never let you fall

As some may have before

I’ll always love you

You honestly can’t ignore

No matter what you may think

Or any assumptions you keep

I’m the real deal, a true blue friend

And my affections run deep

Don’t think I’d ever leave you

Don’t think I’d ever lie

Don’t think I’d ever deceive you

Don’t think I’d ever say good bye

I’ve thrown my heart away

And felt like the dead

For far too long now

My soul has bled

I can’t quite explain

The thing you do to me

You make my heart stop hurting

And help me properly breathe

So the only way I’m going

Is if you leave me first

As long as you love me

Through the best and the worst

I’ll be here.
