Description
To see that 'hope' is written-
On the thumb of her hand,
He smiles quietly, hidden.
He's the only one who knows
Her stories, her secrets, her scars.
He holds her like no one else,
Cradling her beautiful heart.
They aren't perfect, no one is,
To the boy's eyes, she's the closest to perfection.
Quietly she sits, singing a tune,
He falls for her affection.
Hushing and blushing,
He's the only one who can read her.
She plays with the hem of her sleeve,
He then starts to wonder.
Closer than you could ever imagine,
Yet so far apart on location.
She waits for her shooting stars,
Calling her on to his destination.
Patiently she waits for that day,
When she hears his voice smiling.
The days where nothing goes wrong,
She quietly hopes to touch the ceiling.
Those days they see each other,
Are the days they wish would never end.
Trying as hard as she can to remain positive,
Their stories together-not knowing where to begin.
Like a couple that aren't,
She asks if she could wear his jacket.
He hands it to her with no questions asked,
The smile she hides craves to be in a portrait.
He tells her that she's perfection,
He could never leave her behind.
The days they patiently wait for are-
The days where their hands are intertwined.
