Heartbreak and Rage - heavenaura

This is a brief description of a decade I spent following the Korean cult leader Sun Myung Moon, whom I once believed was the Messiah. It is also a summary of the contents of my book, Heartbreak and Rage: Ten Years Under Sun Myung Moon by K. Gordon Neufeld. During those 10 years, I traveled all over the U.S. as well as to Canada and England. I was called upon to sell flowers and trinkets night and day in parking lots and bars. I participated in a "matching" ceremony in which I was engaged to a woman I had just met in a ceremony in which Moon basically just selected my future spouse from a crowd of believers. I later participated in a mass wedding in 1982 at Madison Square Garden in New York, but was never allowed to live with the woman. I finally quit the cult in 1986. This is my story.
