Have You Ever Seen Ice on Fire?

I'm no chemist but I don't think that oxygen would separate from hydrogen without some serious effort. Also if the oxygen did separate from the hydrogen, the hydrogen would be what is burning. Although that would rather explode. I suspect that this is most likely caused by decomposing material on the bottom. Or geologic venting. Most likely, methane though.
