Description
Proof that dementia-related quotes by candidate Jo Lynn Haussmann (for Keller ISD Place 5) were accurate and public at time of election. This is simply the candidate describing in her own words her medical diagnosis and the effects.
It is also public record that the candidate won a Watauga city council seat in 2013 subsequent to these postings but resigned "out of the blue" just 4 months later. This MAY not be related to these posts, but the candidate has not provided voters with new information to consider (as of 4/24/14).
This video was made in case there was a "cover-up" to hide or delete these public posts once word gets out.
The first posting shown was found by simply entering "Jo Lynn Haussmann I have dementia" in Google, and selecting the first link to a Facebook page (Timeline Photos - Made in His Image). It is obvious it is the candidate (she uses her campaign as a cover photo), and clicking through that link goes to her own Facebook page where the second quote shown was made on 10/17/12.
The purpose of this video is to give voters information that it is truthful, was found ethically, and meets the standard of being relevant when considering the fitness-for-office of any candidate who chooses to run for office. This information is not comfortable for anyone (and we all should offer our thoughts any prayers), but it is necessary in a democracy. There are 30,000 kids in KISD and they are counting on us to make an informed decision on who sits on their board.
NOTE: This video is using fully public information and an exercise of First Amendment rights to inform voters of a candidate in the candidate's own words.
