Glaciers compositions Live @ Issue Project Room, NYC, 2009. Single electric guitar with single amp. These works explore friction of constantly moving intervals. Using long sustained glissandos in permanent state of change, this music is static and ecstatic. Camera sound is bit distorted, because sound pressure is constant and microphone membrane can't move. Ear does the same thing. Obviously , it's loud, but without fast transients, so not as damaging as standing next to a drummer or machine gun. But its can be psychologically taxing, with everything in glissando, it can be confusing, and can provoke motion sickness, etc. Constant movement of different speed and direction creates permanently changing harmonics above and below played notes. Room resonate, as well as own body, ear canal, and head movement and ear lobe shape changes sound as well. It should be experienced in person. In the meantime.....
