Sublimely at ease with the gaps,
the poet must highlight “perhaps, ”
with words that can trickle like sand,
an hourglass glossing the hand
that’s constantly moving to write
enigmas expressing what might
be achieved by the filling of gaps
left in certainty made by “perhaps”.
