GA grand prix duluth crit 072111

So I miss my pedal off the start and need to go formteh back to teh front in 1 lap... heart rate was 95% of max by end of first lap.

4 man breakaway gets away early. I didn't think it would stick, but it idid. Some of the pack make faint hearted bridge attempts. I try to gather support by putting in way to much time at the front. Gap widens from 30 second to 1 minute with only 10 minutes left.

I get frustrated and take a flyer at 37:30. Too little too late... I close a gap from 50s to 24s by the finish. My average power per lap in peleton was 250W. My last fyler lap average power was 385W (26mph average)...
