From Saviour To Seeker

Ganga, the longest river of India originating from the Great Himalayas, has been facing severe environmental crisis for decades. After 3 decades of government efforts, the state of the river has not changed much. Pollution, low flow, illegal river bed mining, deforestation, drying up of springs and many such issues are responsible for the degraded state of the river. The film will be a systematical depiction of this issue which needs urgent attention and actions. The Film- The film will include various issues associated with river Ganga, opinion of geologists, scientists, anthropogists, concerned authority and the government. It will deal with policies, not politics. Successive government efforts over the years on policy and implementation level will be analysed and solutions will be discussed proposed by area experts.
