Frequency Separation Retouching in Photoshop, Frequency separation allows you to separate the texture of an image from its color & tone, so that while retouching you can only focus on the texture or the skin beneath it. In frequency separation If you want to retouch the texture then choose the high frequency layer for retouching process & if you want to retouch the skin then choose low frequency layer.
