You are so perfect
You seduce me.
You are my Venus of the Mind
I breathe you in
And breathe you out all day.

You are my bird,
My Wild Canary.

And yet you are not my bird
For you are free.
Free to come and go as you please
Bound to no one.

But you have entered my mind,
And I have trapped you there
To remain forever.
A memory above all memories

If you leave me,
I won’t die.
Because I have You
In my memory.
