The Big Case
In Canada, May of 2022, a young teen of colour (Black 14 year old) is charged with criminal harassment (CC. 264:1), basically because while he was running home, some other teens (female), became scared. They thought he was chasing them on a bright and sunny Sunday afternoon. He doesn't however know them, and never spoke or gestured towards them.
Now after various court appearances, and because he will not accept any of their plea deals where he would have to admit to guilt or any other obligation.....the matter is going to trial.
This again is Canada, in the Province of Ontario in 2022, and it is entirely at this point the work of the police and Crown.
A bad investigation by the police, and the Crown; who knows their motivation?
This type of thing shouldn't be kept secret.
