Filming Start Date Announced for 'Top Gun' Sequel

Production on the sequel to Tom Cruise's hit 1980s movie 'Top Gun', which will be called Top Gun: Maverick, is scheduled to begin this summer. The film will once again revolve around Cruise's character Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, who this time around trains a new generation of pilots while adapting to the modern U.S. Navy. Cruise remains the only confirmed cast member, but announcements on who will be joining him are said to be in the near future.
