The 849 Testarossa presents a new dimension of sound, reflecting the essence of the model with a powerful and pure character. The timbre of the V8 turbo has been optimized to produce a recognizable acoustic signature under all conditions while preserving the unmistakable overtones of the Ferrari V8.

The noise level was slightly increased at all speeds, with the developers paying particular attention to the richness and purity of the sound in the low and midrange. Their goal was to enhance the bright tones of the sublime orders (second-order multiples) during acceleration. As the engine approaches the limiter, effective at 8,300 rpm, the power of the engine unfolds almost explosively, offering an intense experience of sound, acceleration, and vibration, further enhanced by the flat architecture of the crankshafts.
